The Taiwan-South Korea collaborative reality program *Chef's Crash Landing: Hakka Kitchen 2* is currently airing on CTV General Channel, and has been gaining steady traction since its premiere. As a new cast member, Hyoyeon revealed that she developed a strong interest in the show after watching the first season, so when she got the chance to join the second season's filming, she was filled with both excitement and anticipation. The biggest challenge she faced throughout the process was figuring out how to use traditional Hakka ingredients to create dishes that could satisfy both Hakka and Korean palates equally. To achieve this goal, the cast spent countless hours before filming brainstorming, experimenting, and adjusting different ingredient combinations. "The whole process of fully immersing ourselves in preparing the dishes is still vivid in my memory," Hyoyeon shared.

As a sous chef on Wen Sheng-hao's team, Hyoyeon noted that despite their different nationalities, the two got along incredibly well. "Sheng-hao哥 has already participated in the first season, so he has a lot of experience. He didn't hold back when teaching me all the tricks of the trade, and we barely felt any language barrier at all," she said with a smile. She also mentioned that Chiang Hung-chieh, who was a sous chef on the opposing team, became a close friend due to their similar ages. Even though they were on different sides, they often helped each other out, and gradually built up a natural camaraderie that became one of her most cherished memories from the filming.

Hyoyeon also couldn't stop raving about the Hakka-style "Salted Vegetable Pork Rib Stew" that was made using unique Hakka ingredients like salted vegetables, glutinous rice balls, and rice cakes. She said the dish was so delicious that she still thinks about it often. "In Korea, we call a dish that goes perfectly with rice a '밥도둑' (rice thief), and this stew is exactly that—it has rich, layered flavors that make you want to keep eating bite after bite with your rice," she laughed.

When asked about the highlight of the show, Hyoyeon emphasized the intense excitement of creating delicious dishes under time pressure, as well as the energetic scenes of the two teams rushing around to attract more customers. "The cast's full dedication and competitive spirit when fighting for customers are definitely the most exciting parts to watch," she said. *Chef's Crash Landing: Hakka Kitchen 2* airs every Sunday at 10 PM on CTV General Channel, and at 8 PM on Hakka TV.
